Technical Tip

It was only a few days ago that we experienced the shortest night of the year, the summer solstice.   These long days mean there is plenty of time after supper for that quick dash out to grab a cache or two.  It is on one of these last minute trips that you are likely to get caught without batteries.

You might have heard the expression:  I used billion dollar satellites to find Tupperware in the woods.   This is only true if your GPSr has power.   Avoid disappointment by making sure to pack extra batteries  in your geocaching bag.

An easy way to keep your batteries organized is by using a battery caddy.   By inverting your spent batteries you’ll always know which ones are charged and which ones aren’t. A great addition to your camera bag as well.
