What did you do this summer? Did you have any memorable geocaching adventures? Why not share your story with other members of OGA by submitting it for an upcoming OGA newsletter.

Are you going to GHAGAFAP X (GC2RME6) on September 17th? It is the longest running annual event in Canada and this year it is shaping up to be their biggest and best event yet. It is being held at the Guelph Lake Conservation Area and there is no event fee to attend. They are making their first event Geocoin and once again have an event T-shirts for sale. This will be my 9th GHAGAFAP that I am attending with my family and as always I really look forward to the fun and friendly atmosphere that it brings each year. I hope to see you there!

I hope you had an enjoyable OGA Day on August 13th and attended one of the many events that were held throughout Ontario. I did the 3 hour drive to Emsdale to attend the OGA Day – Near North II event.

One of the most enjoyable days in August for me was on the 27th where I organized and took part in the Fun Caching 5 – Napanee Century Cache Club. The goal was to find 100 caches in a day, starting at 8am and going until midnight. This was the third time for a number of us finding 100+ caches in a day and we easily exceeded our goal. 22 of us joined in on the fun and by the end of the day we had found 176. I am sure we will plan another 100+ day in the future (probably in April again) as they are a lot of fun to do with a great group of cachers. Anyone of course is welcome to join in on the fun.

We had an excellent turnout for our 2nd monthly chat last month. Just a reminder that the monthly OGA chat for our members is the first Thursdayof each month at 8pm EST. So that means that the next scheduled chat will be Thursday, September 1st at 8pm EST. You can join the chat at:http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=OntarioGeocachingAssociation.
