Join the Ontario Geocaching Association (OGA) in Port Severn and Honey Harbour as we
work in conjunction with Parks Canada in celebration of 100 years of Parks
Canada service. Just Add Water Festival is taking place on May 27-29, 2011 and guarantees to be a fun-filled weekend long event.
On Sunday, May 29, join other geocachers at 9:00am for breakfast at the “Just Add
Water” event (GC2VJ11). From there, hop on a pontoon boat and enjoy a scenic tour around Georgian Bay Island National Park. While on tour you will have the opportunity to get out and search for the new geocaches being placed in the area.
There have been 300 geocoins minted for the JAW Festival and with the help of geocachers they are being placed in caches around Ontario. Each coin has an instruction card included with it that indicates that if you pick up the coin to bring it to the JAW Festival for a chance to win some awesome prizes.
A great weekend is being planned with lots of activities for all ages. Come out and celebrate geocaching in Port Severn and Honey Harbour and maybe even get your picture taken with the Parks Canada mascot a 16’ inflatable beaver.
Be sure to log your “Will Attend”!
