Groundspeak Geocaching Souvenirs

You may have noticed that new tab on your geocaching.com profile called “Souvenirs”. Souvenirs made their debut a couple months ago as a surprise feature. Souvenirs are like virtual post cards or pieces of art. If you have been around for awhile and have found caches in different parts of the world, you may start noticing new Souvenirs magically showing up on your profile every so often. Currently, you are awarded Souvenirs because of some cache you have found or a place you have found a cache in. Souvenirs are still in the initial stages, but the potential for them is huge. It has been suggested that Souvenirs will be a great way to create new challenges (once geostats are implemented) and replace existing ones. Cachers may even be able to suggest and purchase their own souvenirs to use on their caches, similar to how geocoin creators are able to purchase an icon for the geocoins they’ve created.
