July : Geo Dog

Geo dog on the hunt

This month we recognize Geo Dog. He recently celebrated his 200th cache find, and definitely cannot be called one of the fairweather cachers.

Q and A with Geo Dog

Q: Where do you call home?
A: Hamilton.

Q: Where does the name Geo Dog come from?
A: It was the best way I could think of to use the Snoopy picture on my profile page. It was not until later that I found out that everyone uses the name for their caching pet.

Q: When you are not caching, what do you do to relax?
A: There is time to relax??? Golfing, Theater, Skiing (although have not been for 2 years), Camping, Pool, or anything that strikes my interest at the time.

Q: How did you find out about geocaching?
A: What's Geocaching? Seriously, the evil Blue Quasar snared me in.

Q: Have you gotten anyone else involved in the sport?
A: A couple of people have started & several have shown interest (still working on them).

Q: What gear do you use for caching?
A: I don't use gears I use a Magellan Meridian

Q: Tell us some of your caching milestones.
A: Sorry I live in Canada no milestones only Kilometerstones

Q: Any recent highlights you would like to share?
A: Well I just went to the barber…..

Q: What are your favourite caches?
A: Ones that I have found. I prefer the multi cache puzzle series & series that take you to places that you might not normally stop and see.

Q: What are your least favourite caches?
A: Ones that I haven't found. Urban micros.

Thanks to GeoDog for sharing with us. If you know an OGA member who deserves the cacher of the month spotlight, send me an email to cast your vote.
