I’m was born in Northern Ontario, always lived in the North, and love it up here !  There are some who enjoy the hustle and bustle of the big city, or in a suburb of a city, but to me it’s all about nature and being in the outdoors.  It doesn’t take much to please me up here, just need somewhere to go for a drive and a camera to catch the memories.  Some folks think the North is just bush (Oh look honey, another tree ….) but there’s so much more to it if you let yourself be one with nature.  The same road always offers something different to see each time you drive along it.

I took up geocaching quite by accident in March 2009 while doing a firmware update on my first GPS unit, and discovered what a cool adventure it can be.  My first find was on that same day and I’ll always remember the fun it was !  I smile every time I find a cache and even more when I hide a new one.  I always enjoy reading log entries when others find one of my caches, and remember their GC names when they come by on a return trip later on.  There are so many special and interesting places our country has to offer, and Geocaching is among the best ways I know of to be able to see them all.

I’ve always appreciated being able to ask questions to any geocacher through the GC Send Message feature, as I’ve learned much about GPS units and cache containers and so much more from the helpful responses I’ve received.  It is my mission to be able to return that favour to anyone who has a question about GPS hardware, firmware, maps, software, caching, whatever.  Moreover, if there are some among you that are planning a trip through the North and are looking for information about campgrounds, motels, restaurants, whatever…. Please don’t be shy and send me an e-mail asking whatever, I’m always glad to offer assistance to anyone with a question.

Enjoy what Geocaching and the O.G.A. have to offer you, as I have…. and always enjoy being a Geocacher !
